Synopsis

Kifn is a chilling horror film set in the early 2000s in Sulaimani, where Peri, a young woman recently married through family arrangements, finds her new life unraveling under mysterious and terrifying forces. Struggling with an unhappy marriage and haunted by the early death of her mother, she turns to a box of old family videotapes archived decades earlier, hoping to find answers and meaning in her past.As Peri watches the grainy home videos, eerie figures wrapped in a kifn (shroud) begin to appear. First in the background of old footage, then infiltrating her waking life. What begins as unsettling nostalgia soon spirals into full-blown horror, as supernatural events intrude on her reality and ancient curses, dark rituals, and unresolved family debts come to light.
