Mekhak, a compassionate and capable donkey, lives with a family in a village. His owner, however, believing Mekhak to be useless, decides to abandon him on a distant, frightening mountain. Despite the dangers, Mekhak, full of hope, returns to the family, longing to live with them again. He makes great efforts, yet the family repeatedly rejects him. In the end, Mekhak makes a profound sacrifice to stay but this only leads to a more tragic fate.
