Synopsis

Kardeş Türküler ile 30 Yıl is a feature-length documentary chronicling the musical and political journey of the Kardeş Türküler Project, which began within the Boğaziçi University Folklore Club in 1993. Over three decades, this ensemble has become a living testament to togetherness. A celebration of children, women, rivers, trees, and a rich tapestry of cultures and languages that transcend borders. On stage, languages, histories, and artistic expressions converge. From Hrant Dink to Neşet Ertaş, Reem Kelani to Sezen Aksu, Arto Tunçboyacıyan to the Sayat Nova choir, the film weaves together poetry, song, and memory to reveal how music can reflect and shape the social and political realities of Turkey. For the first time, 30 Years with Songs of Fraternity brings the full story of Kardeş Türküler to the screen. An intimate, heartfelt chronicle of solidarity, resilience, and the enduring power of art to unite.
