Mission
AKFF’s mission is to present Kurdish cinema to audiences in the Netherlands, starting with Amsterdam. We aim to be a bridge between the screen and the audience, create community, and celebrate Kurdish artists and stories about Kurds.
Vision
AKFF’s vision is to multiply the stories that are told by or about Kurds, and to grow into the leading festival in the Netherlands for Kurdish cinema. We use our platform to boost emerging Kurdish filmmakers, and through our Film Academy, we hope to support a new generation of Kurdish filmmakers.
