KÖY (Turkish for village) is about the longing for belonging, for home, for security and the freedom of the self. The film focuses on three women from three generations. They are united by their origins, all of them come from villages in eastern Turkey, Kurdistan. They are Kurdish and now live in Berlin. Every woman tells her story.
