Synopsis

The Traveling Cinema is a documentary that follows the journey of Ismaîl Mamo, a young man from Kobanî who returned from the Netherlands after studying acting at ArtEZ University of the Arts to launch his unique project: Sînema Gerok. The initiative aims to bring cinema to remote villages that had long been deprived of this artistic experience. Through determination and perseverance, and with the support of his dedicated team, they succeeded in organizing film screenings for the first time in many villages. The documentary captures the challenges faced by Ismaîl and his team, and the efforts they made to realize their dream of spreading cinematic culture and giving underserved audiences the chance to enjoy the magic of film.
