Mohammed Tahir Mahmood was born in 1994 in Sulaimani, in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. He graduated from the Fine Arts Institute with a specialization in filmmaking and began his career directing short films that explore simplicity and emotional fragmentation. His works include Radio, Fragmented Pain, and The Drowned Boat, which have contributed to his reputation as a promising emerging filmmaker. In 2025, he completed his debut feature film, The Road to the Moon, establishing a new milestone in his professional career. Mohammed continues to reside in Sulaimani, where he focuses on developing new narrative and documentary projects.
