Ibrahim (Ibo) Karatay is a Dutch-Turkish director, writer, and producer, born in Istanbul. His work has been screened in film theaters and art galleries, with selections at prestigious international festivals such as Cannes Cinéfondation, the Sarajevo Film Festival, the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, and the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR). His directorial debut, Shadow of Violence (2020), had its world premiere at IFFR. The second installment of his Shadow trilogy, Mother: Shadow of Injustice, premiered at the Nederlands Film Festival, where it was nominated for the Gouden Kalf Award.
