Elif Yiğit (born 1994 in Amed, Northern Kurdistan) is a documentary filmmaker and visual storyteller based in Istanbul. She graduated from the Radio and Television Department at İstanbul Kültür University in 2015 and is currently furthering her studies in Art History at Istanbul University.
As a director, Yiğit’s work focuses on documentary forms that engage with memory, place, and collective histories. Her films include Endless Games (2019), Heskîf (2021) which documents the flooding and loss of the ancient settlement of Hasankeyf and its people, and For Justice (2023), a film about the ongoing struggle for accountability in the aftermath of violence.
