Edris Mahmoudian (born 1985 in Saqqez, Iran) is a Kurdish filmmaker, director, producer, photographer, and cinema instructor. He studied at the University of Zabol and has developed his craft across multiple disciplines within visual storytelling, from directing and producing to photography and mentoring emerging artists.
Mahmoudian’s work often blends observational realism with cultural insight. His 2024 short film Limo Knew Everything: which he wrote, directed, and produced, portrays life in a rural Iranian village with authenticity and nuance, earning recognition on the international festival circuit, including a special mention at the Duhok International Film Festival.
Active both behind the camera and in educational circles, Mahmoudian contributes to the growth of young cinema through teaching and engagement with film communities, fostering new voices in regional and international cinema.
