Synopsis

Dalkurd’s remarkable rise, founded to engage young Kurdish refugees in a Swedish town, is a tale of underdogs triumphing against the odds, shedding light on the Kurds’ plight as the world’s largest ethnic group without a homeland. Overcoming local apathy, the team ascended swiftly, poised to enter Sweden’s top football tier. Alongside their journey, we’re introduced to players’ poignant stories, revealing the club’s dual identity: while football is pivotal, the Kurdish quest for independence remains at its heart.
