Synopsis

The Naharina are the descendants of the peoples who inhabited Mesopotamia thousands of years ago—those who make community their essence and coexistence between different ethnic groups their strength. But the river is gone; Turkey has dried it up, making it impossible for millions of people to live there. However, Kurds, Arabs, and other ethnic groups continue to work to build communes, women’s houses, cooperatives, and an alternative security model.
