Synopsis

Kavukî Bokan is a heartfelt exploration of the endangered life of one of Kurdistan’s most breathtaking land birds — the Great Bustard (çirgan). Once a proud symbol of Kurdistan’s plains, fewer than 30 remain in Iran today. Through stunning visuals and emotional storytelling, the film highlights their struggle for survival amidst human expansion and environmental change, calling for urgent conservation efforts.
