Xoşewîstî – the Kurdish word for love – is the thread that runs through this section of shorts, but in different ways than expected. These stories explore longing, care, tenderness and survival. Love for the homeland they remember, for their language, for a parent left behind. It’s love not in the sense of a fairytale, but for everything that gets us through life.
