Saman Hosseinpuor is a Kurdish Iranian filmmaker with more than ten short films to his name. His work has been recognized and awarded at over a hundred film festivals, including the Telluride, Zlín, Rotterdam, Busan, and Red Sea International Film Festivals. He is an alumnus of both the Asian Film Academy and Berlinale Talents.
Hosseinpuor holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in cinema and is a fellow of the Busan Asian Film School (AFiS) program. His films primarily focus on Kurdish culture, particularly the experiences of Kurdish people in Iran. He is also an official member of the Iranian Short Film Association and an alumnus of the NAFF Fantastic Film School.
