Ferran Domènech was born in Manlleu (Barcelona) in 1990. Although he studied advertising and public relations at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, he truly discovered journalism when he began working at La Directa, a Catalan outlet dedicated to social movements.
In 2019, he traveled to Kurdistan, where he spent two years working at the Rojava Information Center and the Rojava Film Commune. From this experience came his first documentary, Kobane, To Stand Up, available on YouTube.
In November 2023, his team returned to Rojava to shoot a new documentary: Naharina: Communal Resistance in Syrian Kurdistan. The film has been screened in more than forty cities around the globe, receiving strong critical acclaim.
